We’re pleased to share that Jean-Pierre Biasol will be speaking as part of Melbourne Design Week 2026 in the upcoming panel discussion, Why Tall Poppy? — a conversation exploring what it means to build and sustain a serious design practice in Australia today.

Presented within the Tall Poppy exhibition curated by Tiffany Jade, the discussion brings together leading voices across design, manufacturing and making to reflect on the evolving landscape of Australian design, local production and creative practice. Jean-Pierre will join an esteemed panel including Mardi Doherty, Gordon Tait, Michael Karakolis and Leisa Wharington.

The event takes place on Sunday 24 May at Kelli Lundberg Art, Moorooduc, as part of Melbourne Design Week’s 2026 program.
