In October 2022, Jean-Pierre Biasol joined a panel of industry leaders at Design Show Australia, Sydney, contributing to a conversation centred on the evolving landscape of health, wellness and beauty environments.
Titled Transformational Shift Towards High-End Fitout in Health, Wellness and Beauty, the session explored how these spaces are moving beyond traditional clinical models towards more considered, experience-led environments. Moderated by Clare Acheson, the discussion brought together perspectives from across architecture and interior design, including Nickolas Gurtler and Anna Trefely.
Jean-Pierre spoke to the growing expectation for spaces that do more than function — environments that support emotional wellbeing, foster trust, and create a sense of calm through materiality, light and spatial clarity. Drawing on Biasol’s work, he emphasised the importance of designing holistically, where brand, interior and experience are conceived in unison to create outcomes that feel cohesive and enduring.
The conversation reflected a broader industry shift — one where wellness is no longer an add-on, but embedded into the very fabric of the design. As clients seek more meaningful, human-centred experiences, the role of design continues to expand, shaping not only how spaces look, but how they are felt and remembered.
