Pine Nut Cycle Café is a health-focused café and bike rental destination located in South Lake Tahoe, California — a gateway for outdoor enthusiasts and alpine adventure. Conceived as a unified brand and spatial experience, the project draws inspiration from the surrounding pine forests and the culture of cycling and wellness that defines the region.
The interior embraces a restrained, nature-led palette of soft greys and greens, evoking the forest landscape while creating a calm and welcoming environment. Timber joinery and custom detailing honour local craftsmanship traditions while introducing a contemporary sensibility. This language extends into the brand identity. Nature-inspired hues, tactile recycled paper stocks and crafted brand marks reflect the spirit of exploration and authenticity. The identity also informs the internal wayfinding system, ensuring brand and environment speak the same visual language.
Pine Nut Cycle Café offers a distinctive hospitality experience where design, nature and community converge — a place that celebrates wellness, adventure and the rhythm of the outdoors.
