Sisterhood is a hospitality destination in Hobart where brand and interior were conceived together to shape a distinctive and welcoming experience. Inspired by a recent journey to Tulum — where food, design and community intertwine — we developed the brand identity alongside the interior environment to create a place that resonates with the local neighbourhood.
The brand reflects the spirit of a new generation of restaurateurs with community at its heart. The name and logo express the bonds of friendship and connection, while playful messaging and positive affirmations bring warmth and personality to the brand language. This identity informed the spatial experience. Located in the waterfront suburb of Sandy Bay, Sisterhood was designed as a textured and inviting all-day eatery that encourages gathering, conversation and ritual. Timber and rattan introduce warmth, while a palette of earthy tones references its inspiration: deep emerald recalling Tulum’s rainforests and burnt orange echoing Tasmania’s rugged coastline.
The result is a layered, relaxed environment that accommodates takeaway, communal dining and quieter moments — a place where hospitality, design and community come together naturally.
